Mahila Bhavan has always been a space where women can come together, learn new skills and make something with their own hands.
With the vision of Shri Mauvin H. Godinho, Mahila Bhavan is being expanded to bring more skills and opportunities closer to the women of Dabolim.
The aim is simple: create a place where learning can lead to confidence, and confidence can lead to independence.
More Than a Building
Mahila Bhavan is ultimately about the women who walk through its doors — the mother who finds time to learn something for herself, the woman who turns a skill she has always had into a source of income, the young girl who discovers that she can create too, and the artisan who gets another opportunity to keep doing what she loves.
These are the stories that give a space its meaning. And as Mahila Bhavan grows, the hope is to make room for many more of them.
